A full-time creative job at BFBS in Salisbury
Posted 15 August 2019, 5.07am edt

Forces Radio BFBS is looking for a Presenter/Producer for our community station based at Bulford in Wiltshire.

Come and be part of our unique blend of music and speech radio dedicated to British Forces audiences wherever they’re serving in the UK and overseas.

To be suitable for the role, you’ll have spent at least two years in contemporary music sequence presentation and ideally also have experience in producing compelling speech-led features including packages, reports and interviews. You’ll be able to prove your success in delivering creative ideas within self-produced programmes; the ability to incorporate digital/social networking initiatives will already be second nature.

You’ll be able to demonstrate that you’re resourceful, innovative, flexible and reliable, you’ll have bags of personality and enthusiasm on and off air and be excited at the prospect of a full-on role working alongside the British Armed Forces.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract based at BFBS Salisbury Plain.

We ask a lot of our broadcasters; in return, we’ll give you the chance to develop your talent in a creative, non-commercial, ideas led environment with plenty of guidance to realise your talents to their full potential.

For the right candidate – this is a fantastic opportunity to make exceptional radio for an extraordinary audience.

About BFBS

BFBS is a military charity and media organisation with a mission to inform, entertain, connect and champion the UK serving military, their families and veterans.

We have been keeping the serving military connected and in touch for over 75 years, building morale and offering those serving overseas a valuable connection to life back home. We help them feel happier, know what’s going on around the world, share experiences and build communities.

Today, our TV, radio and digital platforms offer entertainment, news, sport and information services to the Armed Forces, their families, veterans and anyone interested in the military.

In recent years, building on our in-depth knowledge of the military and our digital, media and technological innovation expertise, we have also developed value-for-money commercial services for the military and other government clients. These include digital and creative services, a training and development academy, and pioneering technical media and communication solutions that work even in the most extreme environments.
