Free Radio is looking for an experienced, talented reporter to join our award-winning news team covering stories in Birmingham, the Black Country and Shropshire. You must have at least two years professional experience and a proven track record of uncovering original content for a targeted local audience. You will be comfortable providing coverage of breaking news situations and have an understanding that news happens all the time. Being versatile and flexible in your working hours is vital. You will be organised and able to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. A good knowledge of broadcast law is essential. Knowledge of the West Midlands and an existing contact base for the region would be a bonus, but is not essential. This role will require you to be out in the field gathering content daily, so you should have a valid driving licence.
