(Part-time 0.41 FTE) / £10,174 per annum (£13.53 per hour) Fixed-term contract until 1st July 2016 (renewable annually thereafter)

If you are an experienced Broadcast Technician, looking to work initially on a temporary basis, utilising cutting-edge broadcast technology in a highly creative environment, we have an exciting opportunity to join UppAIR – Uppingham School Radio - THE radio station for Uppingham School and the surrounding community.

The station, run by pupils, serves to bring the work of the Uppingham community into sharp contemporary focus, adding a new and exciting dimension to school life and providing a stimulating creative outlet for students.

As Senior Broadcast Technician, you will be responsible for the general infrastructure, timetabling, delivery, recording, training and general administration of the UppAIR network. This will include responsibility for production schedules, editing, radio administration, audio imaging, location recording, and the recording of promotional videos.

If you have experience of a busy and sometimes pressurised studio environment and are confident with a wide range of software including audio and film editing packages (e.g. Final Cut Pro, Logic and Pro tools) we would be delighted to hear from you.

Even though this role is initially a temporary contract, there is the prospect of reemployment for the right candidate.

In return for your outstanding service we can offer a number of benefits for this role, which include access to the Uppingham School Group Pension Plan, private health care, free lunches during term-time and membership of the Uppingham School Sports Centre.

The closing date for applications is Friday 4th December 2015 at 9am.
Interviews are expected to be conducted on Thursday 10th December 2015.

Uppingham School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful candidates will need to be DBS checked before being confirmed in position.

This job closed on 4 December, 2015 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
