A full-time journalism job at FREE RADIO in BIRMINGHAM

Free Radio is looking for an exceptional bulletin editor.

You must have a great voice, the ability to convey the news in a conversational yet authoritative manner and have a minimum of two years professional on-air experience in producing pre-recorded and live bulletins.

Excellent legal knowledge of broadcast law is essential as is an ability to operate in high pressured situations, making swift sound decisions.

You will be reading bulletins for Free Radio Birmingham and Free Radio Black Country and Shropshire. An understanding of these patches and our target listener would be a bonus.

In addition to bulletin reading, you will be expected to update the website and twitter accounts with engaging, timely content.

This role is for 12 months to cover maternity leave and is based in Birmingham.

Free Radio is part of Bauer Radio who have national stations, such as Absolute Radio, Hits Radio, Magic and Kiss. As part of the Birmingham based newsroom you will provide them with content and you may be asked to present the news on these stations too.
