Job Description

Bauer Media is one of Europe’s largest privately owned publishing groups. The Group is a worldwide media empire offering over 300 magazines in 15 countries, as well as online, TV and over 40 local and national radio stations.

Reporting in to the Head of Digital Performance Marketing, we are looking for a bright, driven Digital Performance Marketing Executive with a B2C ecommerce background to join the team with the main objective of commercialising our audiences across radio and magazine brands through ecommerce partnerships.

This is an exciting opening at a critical time where a talented individual can make a tangible different to multiple brands ‘consumer direct’ digital revenue streams and the interactions in which Bauer brands have with their audiences.

Key objectives:

Assisting the Head of Performance Marketing to develop strategies and execute marketing plans as well as investigate new digital commercial opportunities.

We’re looking for a 'hands on' person with a pro-active attitude who will be able to inspire internal stakeholders; especially across our national brands to buy in and support the ecommerce activities which the performance marketing team manage.

As a senior member of the team you’ll be required to help manage the junior members of the team succeed in their regular marketing campaign duties (copywriting, social media, optimise websites etc) and also execute elements of the campaigns yourself. Tight deadlines must be hit.

You must be able to recognise website trends on site, be data literate, comfortable managing all 3rd party customer acquisitions channels and be fully versed in customer development and conversions in order to maximise revenues.

You will also be heavily involved in executing & researching new commercial partnerships that fit Bauer brands from inception to launch.

Then subsequently help to generate traffic via 3rd party performance marketing such as affiliate networks, PPC, Social media promotions, lead generation & Bauer assets in order to maximise revenue opportunities. This includes managing partner relationships (affiliates, iframes and white labels), understanding client expectations and ROI considerations. Previous experience in this area of marketing is essential.

Person Specification

We are looking for a web savvy team player who is confident and self-motivated, with outstanding influence & communication skills! You should have excellent written English skills, a flexible attitude and plenty of ideas.

The successful candidate for this role will have at least 2 years of experience of working as an e-commerce or digital marketing role previously and have practical working experiences in: white label partnerships, external customer acquisition, ecommerce, email marketing, P&L ownership and client facing negotiations.

Knowledge of using an email client such as Mailchimp, Ecommerce shop platforms such as Magento and CMS’s are desirable, but there will be in-house training on all systems.

Excellent PC skills (especially Excel, Word and Power Point).

The successful candidate will be required to work once a fortnight from the Bauer Media London Offices in order to develop and optimise internal relationships with key brand teams and to attend any client meetings.
