THE ROLE

You will become an integral part of the London Radio Team, delivering a high level of service to clients and administrative support to a team of Account Managers working across the Bauer Radio Portfolio. You help form the backbone of a team who create, plan and deliver bespoke commercial solutions both on air and on our digital and cross media platforms. As a senior member of the support team, you will take on training responsibility for junior members of the team and pick up more complex planning and sales queries. You will work across our sales portfolio, including all of our key agencies and partners, achieving excellence in customer service and ensuring the smooth running of the team.

The team is full of experience and passion. It’s a fun and demanding environment, working across stations including KISS, Magic, Absolute Radio, Planet Rock, Jazz, heat and Kerrang!

Reporting to the Project and Support Manager, we are looking for a self-starter who is not afraid to take initiative; you will be juggling a multitude of requests from the team based in London and some who work remotely. We are looking for someone who would describe themselves as Bold, Curious, Connected and Positive.

This is a great opportunity to work across Bauer’s national radio brands and would be particularly suited to someone with previous experience in planning or creative solutions. Ultimately, we are looking for someone who is motivated, has great problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a passion for radio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To support and assist the Sales Team, to ensure the team is working to maximum efficiency by:

  • Planning, booking and on-going administration of all radio and associated digital campaigns
  • Prioritising and managing not just your own workload, but that of the support team, to maintain a high level of accurate administration for the team, especially in the Project and Support Manager’s absence
  • Liaising with clients and agencies to provide airtime plans and support their relationship with Bauer
  • Delivering exceptional customer service through the efficient and accurate turnaround of plans and proposals
  • Assisting the Project and Support Manager with training and development of more junior team members
  • Providing assistance on complex planning and sales queries
  • Taking responsibility for the support on key client accounts and partnerships
  • Assist the Account Managers with preparation of client pitches & presentations
  • Assist the Head of Creative Solutions by taking the lead on creative pitch documents, understanding the creative idea, planning a cross-media campaign and creating a client-friendly Powerpoint presentation
  • Compile campaign delivery information for post campaign analysis including on air, screen grabs and online stats
  • Acting as a Mentor for junior team members, always leading by example and assisting with troubleshooting
  • Download and send competition audio, spot times and campaign information to clients as requested
  • Recording of all bookings on team reports, reconciliation and analysis of revenue
  • Assist Project and Support Manager and help organise client hospitality events
  • Manage credit and pre-paid accounts and invoices
  • Keep a record and allocate all incoming leads

THE PERSON

Essential:

  • Experience in radio planning, marketing or in Creative Solutions
  • Experience in customer service or sales-oriented role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude
  • Effective time management skills, with an analytical attention to detail
  • Strong team player work ethic
  • Curious and always willing to learn
  • Conscientious – punctual, willing to work hard and go beyond the call of duty
  • Ability to work under pressure to deadlines
  • First class numeracy and administrative skills
  • A creative thought process, with a solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
  • Proficient in use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Proficient in use of database management systems

Desired:

  • Relevant media degree or experience
  • An interest in radio and an understanding of digital media
