Senior Sports Writer/Editor, talkSPORT
Reports to: talkSPORT Digital Editor
We are looking for a skilled digital journalist with a passion for a sport and a proven track record of growing a website audience to join the talkSPORT team on a full-time basis. Working five days across the week, you will be based in our offices in London Bridge and be required to source, write and edit stories across a wide range of sports. You will be part of the senior online management team, helping to draft the weekly agenda and ensuring the team produces a consistently high number of quality articles each day.
Requirements include:
The ability to spot a good story and generate your own ideas Have excellent written and communication skills Ability to write eye-catching headlines A good understanding of SEO techniques and how to incorporate them into articles An excellent awareness of how to use social media platforms to drive website traffic Being confident working under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work on weekends and evenings Previous experience of working for a sports website or newspaper An NCTJ qualification or journalism degree
