INRIX is recruiting for 4 full time Traffic Information Operators. The successful candidates will be collating traffic incident data for North America, and will based in the INRIX Incident Group (IIG) in Quinton, Birmingham, UK.

Using the latest data capture technologies, internet based research, traffic cameras and audio output, you must possess excellent keyboard skills, have great attention to detail and be confident whilst using your own initiative in this fast-paced environment.

We will provide you with full training and a great environment to work in! Teamwork and flexibility is a must in this role and your communication skills will be tested when working within a team dedicated to capturing live traffic information (24 hours a day, 365 days a year) which will then be used in real-time by some of the largest and most well-known organisations and companies in the world.

Role specifics

Full time – 40 hours

Monday to Friday 12pm – 8pm IIG393 Monday to Friday 10am – 6pm IIG770 Monday to Friday 7pm-3am IIG657 Monday to Friday 10pm – 6am IIG970

Candidate Specifics

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a media, higher education, professional or office environment
  • Strong computer literacy and understanding of social media
  • Interest in traffic news
  • Proficient map reading skills
  • Ability to multi task utilising audio, camera and data feeds to provide the highest standard service possible to our TV and Automotive clients
  • Close attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • You are able to meet strict deadlines and thrive in a high pressure ‘newsroom’ environment.

Those shortlisted for interview will be required to display their technical and cartographic capabilities in a short practical exercise.
