A full-time journalism job at That's Oxfordshire in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom
Posted 27 May 2017, 10.56am edt

Wondering what you might say if you had a job interview with us?

Why should we hire you?

You have a demonstrable passion for TV reporting supported by a relevant journalism qualification and experience. You're extraordinarily talented, committed, bright, active and ambitious.

You don't want to settle for passable. You care as much about the work of your team as you do your own. You're looking for a job that lets you get on the road and report on your own original stories every day, crafting your journalism skills, not re-writing wire copy and press releases.

What are your skills?

You can find great stories and set them up; self-shoot, edit fast, script and voice compelling local news stories in a day, all in time to prepare, present or produce a live or as live local news magazine show every weekday evening.

What do you know about us?

That's Oxfordshire broadcasting on Freeview channel 7 (the slot recently vacated by BBC Three) is part of That's TV, the UK's largest local TV operator. It's driven by telling news stories and human interest features which have a real impact. It shares many of its news stories with the BBC.

What's your ambition?

You are a multi-skilled journalist seeking to make a big name for yourself in a pioneering local TV station before moving your career onto the national stage.

Anything else we need to know about you?

You drive a car, don't mind working some anti-social hours and are a real team-player.

This job closed on 24 June, 2017 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
