Voicetrackers Wanted

A freelance and contract programming job at The Fox in Stow-on-the-Wold, United Kingdom
Posted 22 January 2018, 3.50am est

This job is not paid

The Fox is a new radio station exclusively for the Cotswolds. We've recently submitted an expression of interest to OfCom in applying for a community radio license and we're making great progress towards our first RSL. Meanwhile, we're about to launch a full service online very soon. The station is staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers, most of whom have commercial radio experience. We're very much a believe that "community radio doesn't have to sound pants". We're a fun bunch with high standards.

We're looking for skilled voicetrackers, preferably with local knowledge of the central Cotswolds, to help us to fill some schedule gaps and augment our already glittering team of both experienced, and some less experienced broadcasters.

Of course, some previous experience presenting in commercial/community/student radio, and using remote voicetracking systems is likely to be very helpful.

You'll have a confident and enthusiastic sounding voice, be able to prep and deliver an interesting show even when voicetracked, and develop original and fun ideas for content and features.

Commitment to the show you're assigned is also essential.

This is an excellent chance to work with some extremely professional & passionate radio people, and develop a niche for yourself in the Cotswolds. All of our 'supporting' voicetrack team will of course go on to be considered for both live local, live remote, and continuing voicetrack opportunities as we develop the station further.

This job closed on 16 February, 2018 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
