A freelance and contract creative job at Chesil Radio in Weymouth
Posted 18 May 2018, 11.03pm edt

This job is not paid

Chesil Radio is a not-for-profit radio station run by volunteers as an online station, predominately focusing on the 70s-90s music in the south and south west coastal counties of the UK.

We are looking for volunteer presenters/producers for slots to present live or pre-recorded from home, which provided you have a PC (no MACs please), a good internet connection and suitable equipment to do so, (we are happy to advise on this for the right person), we would love to hear from you from anywhere in the world to broadcast. Please be aware we are full licensed (PPL & PRS), but these do not cover the US & Canada and the station is geolocked as appropriate, but the rest of the world can listen in, although news and events are kept to a local level.

We are looking for committed volunteers with a station that is well established online and good listener base. We are looking for original shows produced for us not syndicated ones (sorry).

Additionally, we are also looking to build a team of volunteers in the south and south west to support our outside broadcast team (we have many events in the diary already and are the media partners for the Weymouth Wildcats Speedway team and other organisations). We are having to turn down events weekly so we need to expand our team urgently.

If you are obsessed with listener figures or applied previously, we would ask that you do not apply.

You must be over 18 to be on the station.

This job closed on 2 June, 2018 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
