The International Radio Festival, a networking event for radio content makers across the world and pop-up radio station, has announced that it has a new home in EXPO City, Milan, Italy.

The event, which has been going for six years and seven successful editions, will be held next year in April, alongside the Radio City Milan event. The event will welcome over twenty international radio stations and fifty Italian stations, who will broadcast their radio shows live on-air.

I'm on the advisory board of this event, which is a unique event in the radio calendar, bringing together content makers rather than suits. Here's a good writeup from Radio World International. To see the IRF's Darryl von Däniken team up with Italy's Filippo Solibello is to see two passionate radio lovers producing something great for the industry, and I'm fascinated to see what happens.
