From ARN, a Christmas-themed radio station has returned to Australia for the seventh year.

Elf Radio is available on DAB+ across Australian capital cities, and also on iHeartRadio, ARN's online radio app.

Unlike Ireland's Christmas FM, this is a purely commercial station, with no charity affiliation. It runs from now 'till December 27th.

In the UK, Smooth Christmas has also popped up on DAB Digital Radio.

Press release

With less than a month until Christmas, Australian Radio Network’s (ARN) digital Christmas station, Elf Radio is back on air on iHeartRadio to help you get jolly just in time for the festive season.

Since launching in 2009, Elf Radio has become a favourite for ARN’s digital audiences and this year the North Pole’s #1 Hit Music Station is back, bigger and merrier than ever.

It’s Santa’s favourite station and now anyone can get a fix of Christmas spirit 24/7 on Elf Radio with classic carols and Christmas tunes from a range of artists including Michael Buble, Kylie Minogue, Paul Kelly, Guy Sebastian and more.

Listeners can kick off the Festive season today with Elf Radio now broadcasting on iHeartRadio, or on DAB+ right across Australia.

In the spirit of the season, Elf Radio has launched a competition giving loyal Elf listeners the opportunity to win special iHeartRadio branded UE Boom speakers every week in December. To be in the running to win, listeners simply register for iHeartRadio Australia then stream Elf Radio throughout the month of December. Each week in December one listener who has streamed Elf Radio will win an amazing branded speaker.

iHeartRadio Australia’s Content Director Brett “Nozz” Nossiter said: “Decorations are up and people are already getting in the festive spirit, but it doesn’t really feel like Christmas until Elf Radio is back on iHeartRadio. Elf Radio keeps getting bigger and better every year, and this year is no exception, you’ll hear your favourite carols and awesome festive tunes by some of today’s most loved artists.”

Head of iHeartRadio Australia Geraint Davies said: “There are over twenty Christmas stations available on the iHeartRadio platform but for Australians, Elf Radio is always the most popular station of them all so it’s a very exciting time to be announcing its return to iHeartRadio for another year. This year we have added a ‘sleeps until Christmas countdown’ and features lots of young excited children giving us their own unique perspective on Christmas.”

Elf Radio will broadcast from today until December 27.
