Spreaker Partners with Radioline to Reach Out to French Listeners

Spreaker, the leading podcasting and live audio streaming platform, announced today that it is partnering with French company Radioline to expand its podcast distribution in Europe. Radioline is a leading European radio aggregation service, listing more than 25,000 radio stations and 10,000 podcasts.

The addition of the Spreaker catalog, which contains more than 27,000 podcasts and shows in different languages and genres, will more than triple the current Radioline podcast offering. The new shows will be available to all listeners starting from early November.

According to French research firm Médiamétrie, podcast consumption is starting to boom in Europe: nearly 800,000 podcasts are downloaded in France every day. This is still behind US figures where, according to Edison Research, 46 million Americans listen to podcasts every month.

“We’re pleased to partner with Spreaker. Adding their catalog to Radioline’s offering addresses our users’ increased enthusiasm for on-demand listening,” said Geoffroy Robin, Managing Director at Radioline.

“Partnering with Radioline is a great opportunity for Spreaker to enable podcasters using our platform to reach a French audience,” said Juliette Bouquerel, VP of Business Development at Spreaker.

Following Spreaker’s deal with iHeartRadio announced last year, the deal announced today with Radioline reflects Spreaker’s continued commitment to expand podcasters’ ability to reach the widest possible audience directly from the Spreaker platform.
