Ford has renewed its sponsorship of the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT for a twelfth consecutive year. This makes the deal the longest running sponsorship on any national commercial radio station in the UK.

talkSPORT’s flagship show continues to go from strength to strength, with the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast achieving over 1.5million listeners according to the most recent set of RAJAR figures – its highest ever.

Alan Brazil was also recently honoured by the radio industry with his induction into the Radio Academy Hall of Fame, with the prestigious award officially cementing his status as a broadcasting legend as well as a footballing one. Alan has hosted the breakfast show on talkSPORT for almost 15 years; making him one of the UK’s longest serving radio presenters, as well as one of the most loved.

Ford’s sponsorship runs across all of talkSPORT’s platforms, including print, online, digital and on-air.

Adam Mills, talkSPORT Sales Director, said: “talkSPORT has grown enormously over the past twelve years but our strong partnership with Ford has been a consistent throughout, and it’s testament to the strength of the station that the brand has renewed for another year. It’s been a monumental few months for the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, with record breaking figures and Alan being inducted into the Radio Academy Hall of Fame, and I’m looking forward to more success in 2015 alongside Ford.”

On behalf of Ford, Head of Marketing Richard Beard commented: “Ford’s long standing partnership with the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast provides the perfect platform for Ford to talk to their audience in a deeper and engaging way. We are all pleased to share in the recent successes of the host and the station and look forward to driving innovation within the partnership in 2015.”
