Should there be a full night of live music dedicated to the Glasgow Barrowlands?

After watching Oasis at the Barrowlands I got thinking...the Barras (as its known in Scotland) is one of the best known and best loved venues in the UK...if not the world (just ask Dave Grohl). So is it not about time this iconic venue got a night dedicated to it? I mean the list of artists that have played include R.E.M., Oasis, Shed Seven, The Cure, The Smiths, AFI, Green Day, U2, Blur, Bob Dylan, Björk, David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Stiff Little Fingers, Metallica, Blondie, INXS, Bloc Party, Justin Timberlake, Garbage, Sheryl Crow, Britney Spears, The Smiths, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, ...Need I say any more? Being a patron of the Barras on a few occasions and having witnessed a many number of bands of different doesn't matter.. the venue creates an atmosphere for any occasion. In this time of social distance n all that, folks are missing live music and need a lift. Why not give a full Friday or Saturday night devoted to the Barras...the best live venue in the UK...a night of it's own and a night to remember!!
