Assistant Producer

We are looking for an Assistant Producer with a minimum of 1 year business/finance knowledge and experience for an upcoming live and pre-recorded TV business/finance programme.
Your responsibilities will include:
- generating original ideas for programme content
- writing scripts around business and finance news across different programmes
- writing and editing VT packages
- sourcing contributors and building a contacts book within this sector
- filming reports – you will be required to interview guest, record pieces to camera to create business reports
Skills required:
- first-rate writing skills
- excellent time-management, organisational skills, planning skills
- the ability to calmly and effectively prioritise workload
- demonstrable experience of working productively and collaboratively within a diverse production team; playing a key supporting role to the Producer and of delivering a high quality product to deadline
- TV experience an advantage but not essential. Training will be provided.
