Description: We are looking for an Assistant Producer with a minimum of 2 year business/finance knowledge and experience for an upcoming live and pre-recorded TV business/finance programme. You will be knowledgeable about business and finance, including Shariah finance and report with confidence on business news.

Your responsibilities will include:

• generating original ideas for programme content
• writing scripts around business and finance news across different programmes
• writing and editing VT packages
• sourcing contributors and building a contacts book within this sector
• filming reports – you will be required to interview guest, record pieces to camera to create business reports

Skills required:

• excellent writing skills
• excellent time-management, organisational skills, planning skills
• the ability to calmly and effectively prioritise workload
• demonstrable experience of working productively and collaboratively within a diverse production team; playing a key supporting role to the Producer and of delivering a high quality product to deadline
• TV experience an advantage but not essential.
