Listening Books are looking for a full-time Audio Producer to join their in-house recording team. The postholder will record and produce imaginatively rendered audiobooks as part of the charity’s Sound Learning Project. The project provides curriculum based audio materials in a variety of formats for children and young people who are unable to read in the usual way. The successful candidate will have experience of recording the spoken word in a digital studio set-up as well working with voice actors. The role also involves encoding audio for the web, recording our bi-annual audio newsletter, overseeing our podcast and marketing and recording books and voice reels for our commercial arm Listening Books Production. A passion for books and literature and their potential to educate and entertain in an audiobook format as well as experience of Pro-Tools (or similar) and audio editing software is essential in this role.

The salary offered is £23,000 and the charity offers a matched contribution pension scheme up to 8% of salary, following successful completion of the probation period.
