Broadcast IT Manager/Engineer

You will be responsible for the IT and telecommunication infrastructure of a television channel and video production company in London and around 80 employees. This will include all desktop machines which comprise of Macs and PCs (Windows 7 / 8 Pro) and professional graphics editing suites as well as related hardware. Also, there are several Windows based play-out and studio automation systems with redundancy plus their client machines able to playout 4 channels simultaneously operational 24/7.

Ideal candidate would have following abilities:

  • Minimum university degree at BSc level in related field or equivalent experience
  • Expert in Windows Administration, MCSE or MCTS certified
  • Hand on experience with Linux ( RedHat / CentOS ) with knowledge of Zimbra,
  • Cisco CCNA certified with experience in TCP/IP networking, security and firewalls configurations ( Dell Sonic Wall / Cisco ASA)
  • Mastering Windows 2003 R2/Windows 2008 R2 /Windows 2012 R2 Storage
  • Mastering Active Directory/File Sharing/Exchange mail server /Network printer
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 7 Pro/Windows 8 / MS Office suite(2007/2010)
  • Strong knowledge in install, Configure and maintain Mac OSX Workstations: Maverick and later OS versions and editing suites like FCP and Adobe Premier.
  • Mastering Kaspersky Lab centre Antivirus
  • Be able to evaluate and procure all IT related products and services through appropriate vendors
  • Good communication skills, self starter, quick learner, responsible and able to lead the whole department
  • Liaise with other department heads to accommodate their requirements within constraints.
  • General knowledge of broadcast systems and past experience with Vectorbox Playout system would be an advantage
