Freelance Video Journalist

Made TV, the UK’s largest local TV provider, is looking for a Freelance Video Journalist to work in their Made in Tyne and Wear news team. Your role will be to report on, self-shoot and edit news stories from across the Tyne Wear region. You will also be required to develop original story ideas and help the news team to deliver online and digital content. The successful candidate must also be willing to learn the production side of our news programming by working in the studio and gallery.

Day Rate: TBC

Essential Knowledge/Skills:

  • BJTC trained journalist
  • Interest in news and current affairs
  • Good writing skills
  • Can operate a video camera
  • Can video edit (Adobe Premiere Pro)
  • IT skills
  • Good knowledge of media law
  • Good knowledge of the Ofcom code
  • Must have full driving licence – preferably have access to a car
