Here is a golden opportunity for the right person to make their mark at one of the UK’s leading city TV stations.

As Production Manager you will work between the management and production teams at the stations and will directly report to the Station Manager on production and operations workflow for both Made in Liverpool and Made in North Wales from the Liverpool office.

You will be jointly responsible for both Made in Liverpool and Made in North Wales output on Freeview, Virgin Media, Sky and online, reaching well over 700,000 monthly viewers.

Here’s a non-exhaustive list of the primary duties, which will include oversight and responsibility for quality compliant output and team and resource management:

Key Responsibilities:

-Identifying key programme production processes to make the individual News, Entertainment and Series production teams as efficient and creative as possible. -Develop ideas for new shows, programme features and full series – helping to develop and realise the existing ideas of team members too. -Create, and develop existing workflows, that ensure proper equipment, people and resource management – from kit booking and tracking, to diary systems, archive/logging and shoot planning processes. -Strong technical/production skills – including ability to shoot and edit, with at least some live TV experience (gallery and studio operations). -Strong editorial and broadcast regulation awareness, including knowledge of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code on areas from basic compliance to undue prominence, as well as the potential legal pitfalls of factual output. -Proven experience in a range of TV environments, from live news/magazine programming to long-form documentary and light entertainment production. -Effective budget management through application of appropriate business principles in terms of costs and added value, actively seeking more efficient ways of working so that productions deliver on budget, bringing value to both the local stations and the entire Made Television network. -Leading, training and motivation of teams consistent with Made Television values. Promoting the vision of the channel and inspiring others to realise it by providing a strong sense of direction and a supportive environment in which to work. This includes setting clear objectives, giving appropriate feedback and carrying out appraisals.

Requirements:

A minimum of 2-3 years in a Producer/AP, Production Executive, Deputy Production Manager or equivalent role.
Up to date working production knowledge, including practical shooting, editing and technical skills.
Sound legal, compliance and HR / people management understanding.
Clean UK driving licence.
