TV Reporter / Video Journalist
A full-time job at That's Cumbria in Carlisle
Posted 30 July, 2017 in News
Cumbria has just got its very own TV station on Freeview channel 8.
We are looking for multi-skilled journalists who want to join us for a brand new TV channel which both Cumbria, and also the staff of the channel, can call their own.
You will become an integral part of the community reporting on the news, people and politics which matter in this medieval city.
This isn’t your standard 9 to 5. You will setup, shoot and edit your own packages and help write and produce the station's daily news magazine shows. There may also be opportunities for the right candidates to present on-screen.
This is a rare opportunity for exceptional candidates to gain significant experience in TV reporting and presenting. That's Cumbria will, in common with all That’s TV channels, also enter into a contract to share some of its news footage with BBC TV and Radio.
That's Cumbria is seeking ambitious journalists who will bin the press releases and go out and find their own challenging news stories and features.
To apply, please email your CV (in Word or PDF format) to email@example.com. Please include a covering note explaining in under 500 words what makes you different and what you offer to That’s Cumbria. Please also confirm where you currently live. Finally please include some links to your most recent work or showreel online (please do not send video attachments).
If you are interested in applying for similar roles at other That’s TV stations there is no need to submit multiple applications – simply tell us in your covering note. Thanks.
Sorry - only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Due to the volume of candidates we regret that we are unable to enter into correspondence.
