A freelance and contract other job at Blue Ocean Network China Content Provider in Anywhere
Posted 18 April 2016, 6.01am edt

Review China-focused TV shows from anywhere in the world!

We are recruiting now for a new Quality Control team to regularly review a range of new and continuing China-focused, English-language television/video content of varying length and style. Uniquely working from the convenience of your current location, video content that you will need to complete will be made available to you via our website.

ABOUT THE ROLE Ultimately reporting to the Director of BON CP, you will be responsible for watching a variety of video content from end-to-end and giving your feedback, whether quantitative (with a number-based score), or qualitative (where we ask you to give your opinion by answering a series of questions immediately after you have downloaded and watched a video). Pieces will vary in length, emphasis, style and genre. We produce and broadcast a wide range of features and news video content. All video content you will review is geared for international television broadcast or video websites on a day-to-day basis, whether via cable, satellite, Internet, On Demand, or live streaming via handheld devices.

QUALIFICATIONS This position is ONLY open to professionals working in media organizations who will be expected to have, in addition to their media expertise, a strong interest in China with an emphasis on one or more of the following areas: business, news and information, culture, health/lifestyles, tourism, and technology. Your English listening and writing skills should be strong, since the videos don't come with English subtitles and you will need to express your opinions clearly and in detail. Naturally since this is an internet-based role, your ability to work unaided, to self-critique and complete your review work to a high standard without direct supervision will be essential to this role.
