Vubiquity appoints new UK-based Managing Director for EMEA and LATAM

Vubiquity, the world’s largest global provider of multiplatform video services, today signaled a push for growth outside North America with the appointment of Adam Poulter as Executive Vice President and Managing Director, EMEA. Adam will be Vubiquity’s senior executive based in the company’s London headquarters and will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s performance and growth in EMEA and LATAM.

Vubiquity is a Virginia, USA-based company that licenses and manages video and TV content from producers such as HBO, Disney, FOX and Warner Brothers, enabling service providers including Virgin, SKY and TalkTalk to deliver online streaming and pay-as-you-go programming to every type of mobile device and set-top box.

Adam Poulter is former Global Senior Vice President for Content, Digital & Media at Liberty Media’s Ascent Media Inc. Here he led the global content business and developed scaled digital distribution for major Hollywood studios including Sony and Paramount and television distributors such as BBC Worldwide, Discovery and IMG.

In addition, Adam served as CEO of Carlton Communications cinema division in Europe; CEO of Screenvision, formerly Technicolor’s Entertainment Services start up in New York where he pioneered digital distribution for advertising to cinema; CEO (Europe) of the digital Ad Network Miva Inc with experience of programmatic and real time media; and Executive Director of Red Bee Media under Macquarie Capital Funds, formerly BBC Broadcast, where he led all the commercial functions and set up the ‘On-Demand’ capability, servicing amongst others, BBCiPlayer.
