Gold is a commercial radio station owned by Global Radio. The station playlists classic hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s with some songs from the 1950s for an audience over 45+ and is male skewed.

Originally a network spanning the country after the merger of the Classic Gold and Capital Gold networks, in 2014 Gold now broadcasts on AM to London, Manchester and the East Midlands and on DAB in London, Yorkshire and the East Midlands. The remaining AM frequencies are now part of the Smooth Radio network, who target the same age group as Gold.

Gold has a live breakfast show each morning then for the rest of the day is automated with local travel news during 'The Gold Rush' at drivetime.
