A budding football commentator has started a new news reporting job with a regional daily.

Alex Lane-Kieltyka, pictured, has been taken on as a journalist by the Swindon Advertiser.

A journalism graduate of the University of the West of England, in Bristol, Alex has previous experience as a match-day commentator for football clubs Bath City and Bristol City.

He has also covered WWE wrestling for GiveMeSport on a freelance basis.

Posting on X, Alex wrote: “Some exciting personal news. I am very happy to announce I have been offered my first job in the industry.

“I am proud to say I have joined on as a news reporter for the Swindon Advertiser.

“I am incredibly thankful to the Advertiser and to UWE’s journalism department for helping this happen.”
