Former local journalist releases third novel in travelling circus series

A former local newspaper journalist has been celebrating after releasing his third novel in what he described as his “most ambitious story yet.”
Nathan Woolford, pictured, enjoyed a long career in the local press, working for the Gloucestershire Gazette, Torquay Herald Express, Richmond and Twickenham Times, Surrey Comet, News Shopper, Bournemouth Daily Echo and Swindon Advertiser over the years.
He has since published two novels, Trail Dust, and last year’s sequel Piece Of The Action, focusing on the adventures of a travelling circus in 1950s America.
His latest book, Worlds To Conquer, is the third in the series, and sees the Klondike’s Circus seeking to branch our into Europe.

Said Nathan: “It’s ambitious in that the scale is a lot bigger than in the previous two. Klondike’s Circus has become a huge showbusiness phenomenon in the States, and is now attempting to branch out into Europe, with a tour of all the major cities. So there is plenty to deal with there.
“Taking all of my beloved characters out of their comfort zones and into Europe was a lot of fun, and very enjoyable. It was a very exciting next step for circus boss Kal Klondike and his star-studded roster of performers.”
Nathan, 44, has worked as a sports reporter, sports editor, news reporter and sub-editor. He described having his novels published as, “quite simply a lifelong dream come true”.
He added: “To me, writing is an addiction. I spend a great deal of time working up plots, and sub-plots, in my head, thinking of new scenarios for my characters. I find it a lot of fun, and just hope anyone who reads these books enjoys them, and finds them entertaining.”
Worlds To Conquer is available to order now from Amazon, online retailers and from book stores.
