A journalist has left a regional daily to join its neighbouring sister title as a local democracy reporter.
Harry Harrison has moved from Sheffield daily The Star, where he began his career in 2022, to fellow National World publication the Doncaster Free Press.
Peterborough native Harry, pictured, trained at the University of Sheffield before joining the city title.
He also hosted The Star’s Behind the Headlines podcast.
At the Free Press, he replaces Shannon Mower, who has left to join Leeds-based Ascender Publishing as an editor.
Posting on X, Harry said: “It’s a big year for Donny, our election fun is not over yet.
“Unlike anywhere else in South Yorkshire, we have elections in May.
“Working The Star newsroom in Sheffield has been the most brilliant career start – I’m glad I’ll still see them often.”
