The TV listings titles are looking for a talented and experienced Sports Editor. You will be responsible for the sports pages in Total TV Guide, plus choosing and writing pick of the days for the listings section of the title, as well as sub-editing the sports listings pages and the sports planner across both Total TV Guide and TV Choice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the workflow of the sports pages, while generating ideas, writing and editing and assisting with picture research.

They must also forge and maintain industry links with the major sports broadcasters, interview sports stars and pundits as necessary, represent the magazine at launches and events and assist the Listings Editor and Features Editor of TV Choice when sports features or captions are required by that magazine.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A wide range of knowledge about the varied sports covered by the magazine
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Confidence when dealing with interviewees, whether face-to-face, on the telephone or in round table situations
• Good communication skills and adaptability to work independently
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Adobe Indesign

Based in Academic House

Four days a week

Salary dependent on experience
