On 2022-04-18 13:42:47 Neil Kipling changed biography: ‘’ to ‘Hi I'm Neil Kipling, owner & station manager of Nova Radio North East 102.5fm. I launched the station back in 2016 as an online only station, over the next few years we grew to have a 40+ presenter base. In 2018-19 I was contacted by the director of NE1FM who was concerned with dropping presenter levels and maintaining key commitment levels. It was at this point we decided to merge the two stations mapping our output onto their in order to push the local & original programme content back up to the levels required. It has been my pleasure to maintain the station with a steady growth of new local talent coming through. I believe in giving everyone the opportunity to interact with local radio & those with a passion to progress within the industry and master their talent at our facilities. Recently we have had our FM licence extended to 2027 giving us more opportunity to bring local programming to the region.’
