Facts and stats

News24 launched under its new name on 27 July 2026, after 30 years as a pioneer in the media landscape.

News24 reflects the network’s evolution from a traditional linear Australian television channel to a globally ambitious multi-platform news business, with a growing international audience.

The name change is a statement of intent for the future of trusted, fearless storytelling; forged from decades of journalistic excellence, embracing the heritage and editorial credentials of one of the world’s great journalism companies, News Corp.

The logo incorporates News Corp’s global brand identity, featuring a script font drawn from the handwriting of Chairman Emeritus Rupert Murdoch and his father, Sir Keith Murdoch. By adopting the “News” script, News24 creates a visible connection to a century of journalistic excellence established by Sir Keith and Rupert Murdoch that continues under the leadership of News Corp’s Global Chair Lachlan Murdoch.
