AV ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN SAUDI ARABIA MARKET RELATED SALARY

Duties include:

  • Ability to lead AV system installations
  • Assist with the asset/inventory management for the Audio Visual Service support team. Ensure equipment is tracked and captured correctly in the asset management software.
  • Support instructional technology to include, but not limited to, responding to trouble incidents, replacement of failed equipment, refresh of aging/failing equipment, mitigating issues and preventive maintenance.
  • Configuring, modifying and maintaining the configuration files for supported DSPs.
  • Managing the audio/visual control system equipment. Developing, modifying and maintaining the control system configuration and program files for supported audio/visual systems.
  • Develop and implement unit technical support procedures and best practices.
  • Managing the maintenance and upkeep of supported Networks (VLANs), supported Firewalls and computers. This could include the use of appropriate security tools to make sure the supported areas are working within the security policies.
  • Responds effectively to customer requests to set-up video and audio conferencing as well as local presentation systems.
  • Works with end-users to execute video and audio needs for meetings; in addition organizes and implements solutions with appropriate vendors and service providers to address connectivity issues.
  • Markets and educates customer base on how to operate equipment through the use of group, and personal training sessions, including the creation of user guides and other training material.
  • Encourages and supports users to learn and operate AV equipment independently.
  • Reports to manager on a daily/weekly basis on current and upcoming projects, issues and overall utilization of AV Systems.
  • Efficiently performs tasks assigned by manager related to facilities and operational requests from users, including but not limited to facilities work requests, assisting with events and programs and operational support for the department.
  • Organizes self to attain daily efficiencies and establishes methods to leverage and scale work activities.
    Requirements: plus 5+ Years AV industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of Passive Optical Networks (PON), Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Call Manager.
  • Preferred Certifications: Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) , Crestron Certified Programmer, AMX Certified Expert (ACE), CompTIA Network +, Security +, BIAMP Tesira.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary positon for 50% of the time, and operate a computer, mobile device or other office equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Skype for Business and Sharepoint integrations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange / Outlook.
  • Experience with Creston and AMX systems.
  • Exhibits excellent technical skills in commercial audio visual systems, including LCD/DLP/CRT projection systems; video/audio systems controls and switchers.
  • Knowledge of analogue and digital video, audio installation, cabling theories.
  • IP addressing knowledge or applicable IT background
  • Strong technical aptitude or background working with electronics and communications technology, including but not limited to AV control systems, audio DSP’s, AV switchers, video conferencing technologies, data/IT systems, and telecom.
  • Working knowledge, proficiency and demonstrable experience connecting equipment, disconnecting equipment, wire pulling, rack mounting, wire management, and equipment mounting.
