Business and Finance Presenter/Assistant Producer

We are looking for a presenter with business knowledge and experience to front live and pre-recorded TV business/finance programming and reports. The Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you must have a proven track record of working in business/finance for a minimum of 2 years, with specialist knowledge of sharia finance.

You will be eloquent, articulate and confident in delivering and commenting on local and global business news, in addition to leading discussions on all aspects of business and finance with guest contributors. Areas to be covered include trading, indexes, banking, sukuk, riba and the economy to mention a few.

You will have strong writing skills as you will not only present shows but contribute to the drafting of scripts and the production of each programme.

You will have excellent time-management, organisational skills, planning skills and the ability to calmly and effectively prioritise workload. You will need demonstrable experience of working productively and collaboratively within a diverse production team; playing a key supporting role to the Producer and of delivering high quality products to deadline.

You will have good contacts to draw upon within this sector and be required to build and maintain a wider range of business contacts, including resource providers and contributors for the programme.

TV experience will be an advantage but is not essential.
