Technician TV/Film/Theatre/Music/Radio

C£17,601 per annum

37 hours per week x 52 weeks per year

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well motivated person to join our Faculty of Media & Creative Arts. You will need to be a self starter and an all rounder with good technical skills. You will have knowledge of some or all of the subject areas that we cover and be able to learn quickly in other areas. You will be expected to have an understanding of sound mixing, lighting, vision mixing and video/film production with good software skills particularly in the Adobe Suite.

The role covers the installation, maintenance and monitoring of equipment, preparing the equipment for students as well as supporting teachers during lessons. You will also help organise and run events and shows.

A flexible approach with excellent interpersonal skills is essential as you may be asked to work in any area of the creative arts and cover events in the evenings or early mornings.

Ideally you will have at least experience of working in a related area, ideally in a support capacity within a media or Education environment.
