TV Reporter / Video Journalist
A freelance and contract job at Thats TV - Freeview TV Network in Swansea, Wales
Posted 6 January, 2018 in Journalism
That's Swansea Bay, part of That’s TV, is the TV service for SW Wales broadcasting on Freeview channel 8 and Virgin Media channel 159.
That’s Swansea Bay is the only territorial and cable TV channel providing news and features for SW Wales.
That's Swansea Bay is now seeking multi-skilled journalists seeking to make a big name for themselves in a local TV station with a ‘big city’ mentality.
You will be an important part of the core production team delivering a major local news and entertainment service on TV and online.
This isn’t your standard 9 to 5. You will setup, shoot and edit your own packages and help write and produce the service's daily news magazine shows. There will also be opportunities to present on-screen.
This is a rare opportunity for exceptional candidates to their break in TV reporting. That's Swansea Bay has, in common with other That’s TV services, also entered into a contract to share its news footage with the BBC.
That's Swansea Bay is seeking proven journalists who will bin the press releases and go out and find their own challenging news stories and features which tug at the heart-strings.
Please email your CV (in Word or PDF format) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include a covering note explaining in under 500 words what makes you different and what you offer to That’s Swansea Bay. Please also confirm where you currently reside and whether you drive. Finally please include some links to your most recent work or showreel online (please do not send video attachments).
If you are interested in applying for similar roles at other That’s TV stations there is no need to submit multiple applications – simply tell us in your covering note. Thanks.
Sorry - only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Due to the volume of candidates we regret that we are unable to enter into correspondence.
