TV Technical Assistant

That's TV is the UK's largest local TV licence holder operating in 13 locations across England.

Due to recent expansion we are seeking a Technical Assistant to support our production teams based in Greater Manchester, but with some UK travel.

You will be:

  • helping to train our teams in their use of professional video cameras, editing software and vision mixing

  • setting up mobile and fixed studios and trouble shooting

  • producing special graphics and features

  • providing IT and specialist broadcast system support

  • coordinating playout and scheduling

  • supporting email and website management

  • helping to support the infrastructure for the UK's largest local TV network.

You will have relevant training or experience in broadcast production and:

*full understanding of television standards and how television works

*technical aptitude

*logical and efficient approach to solving problems

*computer literate

*the ability to work well within a busy team environment and under time pressure

*excellent organisational and planning skills

*excellent communication skills
