The team at JACK Oxfordshire are celebrating today with another excellent set of RAJAR results - radio’s official ratings figures – causing actual champagne corks to fly in the office!

JACK 2 – which only launched last August – has jumped from 31,000* weekly listeners to 41,000 – that’s a third more pairs of ears tuning in each week in just three months. It’s the highest ever listening figure for the radio station since the licence was awarded by OFCOM.

The success is no doubt down in no small part to the radio station’s continued decision to let listeners ‘Control The Music’, really delivering on the station’s promise of letting listeners “Playing What You Want”... allowing them to genuinely choose every song that gets played on the radio station. Download the World’s Greatest Radio Station App via the iTunes App store or the Google Play store.

106 JACKfm also continues to perform well with 65,000* people listening every week. Across the two stations, 101,000** people are now tuning in every week.

JACKfm General Manager Ian Walker said: “JACK 2 has had a sensational result this quarter, hence the champagne corks popping. Together the stations are really holding their own against their local (and not-so-local) competitors and we’re thrilled people are choosing JACK, one of the fastest growing radio brands in the UK.”

JACKfm and JACK 2 are the only commercial radio stations to broadcast from Oxfordshire 24 hours a day. To find out more about advertising on JACKfm (uh oh, here comes the sell), call Commercial Director Rachel McClenahan on 01865 315 980.
