James Barr and Dan Hudson’s independent podcast A Gay & A NonGay was today announced as one of the nominees at The 12th Annual People’s Choice Podcast Awards! The podcast is the only British podcast nominated in the LGBTQ category and one of only three across the entire event.

A Gay and a NonGay began 18 months ago and is self produced by Dan Hudson, James Barr and Talia Kraines. Since then, A Gay and a NonGay has aimed to break down taboos and talk about the real struggles of a 20-30 something in 2017 life. It regularly lands at #1 in the Sexuality chart on both UK and US iTunes and has recently sold out its first London live event.

In a time when we’re all threatened by a rhetoric of hate from the people in power A Gay and a NonGay challenges many of our differences head on and resolutes that no matter who you are, or what you’re into (Bruce Springsteen or Britney), love is love and gay and nongays can be friends.

James and Dan say, “We’ve had an incredible few months with the podcast growing worldwide and this latest award nomination is the icing on our big rainbow cake! We can’t wait until Sept 30th to find out who wins, and in the meantime we’re excited to check out all our fellow LGBTQ+ friends on the rest of the shortlist!”

James and Dan are available to talk about podcasts, friendships between gays and nongays and how the podcast world has provided a space for discussions that wouldn’t find a home on traditional media.

The results of The 12th Annual People’s Choice Podcast Awards will be announced on International Podcast Day - September 30th 2017.
