AudioBoom, a global podcasting platform that consolidates the business of on-demand audio, has announced a strategic partnership with Deezer, the world’s most diverse, dynamic and personal global music streaming company — to better connect audio fans to engaging, spoken word content including news, politics, culture, comedy, entertainment, sports, games and more.
Podcasters who use the audioBoom platform for hosting and distribution may now reach Deezer’s 12 million active users worldwide, offering Deezer listeners immediate access to nearly 230 new podcasts in English and Spanish.
Football fans can now choose from over 37 new sports podcasts including Asmir Begovic’s Season of Sports, Athletico Mince and Official UEFA Champions League Podcast. Fans of true crime can listen to popular shows like Up and Vanished, Untold: The Daniel Morgan Murder and Undisclosed.
“Partnering with Deezer is an enormous opportunity for audioBoom’s content and advertising partners,” said Ruth Fitzsimons, SVP International Operations & Content Partnerships at audioBoom (pictured above). “It allows us to promote podcasts and on-demand audio to reach millions of listeners on Deezer’s global platform, increasing discovery and audience.”
“In addition to music, we believe in providing the best ultimate lean-back audio experience for our listeners. Thus, we are excited that our users around the world will now have access to a wider, more diverse range of content, thanks to our partnership with audioBoom” said Chris Baughen, VP Content & Productions at Deezer.
AudioBoom partners with thousands of broadcasters, publishers and podcasters, including the AFL Podcast Network, Cumulus Media, Hip Hop Saved My Life with Romesh Ranganathan, NBC Sports Radio, No Such Thing As A Fish, Radio New Zealand and more.
Podcasts hosted by audioBoom will be available to Deezer users in France, Germany, UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Austria and Brazil.
