After over 770,000 online votes, the 13th annual Urban Music Awards (UMA) celebrated nominees in 21 award categories at a plush London hotel on Saturday 21 November 2015.

Hosted by UMA Founder Jordan Kensington and singer/songwriter Kiera Weathers who was making her first TV performance since Xfactor, the awards included performances from Big Narstie, Kid Army, the first lady of House music, Kym Mazell, Rough Copy, Kelvin Jones, Chos3n, Young Kings, and many more.

The big winner of the night was Lady Leshurr who bagged a record three awards for UMA Best Music Video 2015, Best Female Act 2015, and Best HipHop Act 2015.

The biggest surprise of the night, however, came when the UK's first global radio station, Colourful Radio, was named 'Best Radio Station' of the year beating Kiss FM, Capital Xtra, BBC 1Xrtra, Rinse FM, Bang Radio and others to the industry's coveted award.

Accepting the 'Best Radio Station' award on behalf of Colourful Radio, Partnerships Manager Jacqueline Asafu Adjayi said: “This award is for Kofi. He set up Colourful... Thank you for voting for Colourful.”

Commenting later about the award, Colourful Radio's founder Mr Kofi Kusitor MBE said: “My vision of a music and conversation radio station is finally being recognised. And it's all because of our great roster of DJs and presenters and, most importantly, our loyal listeners. Thank you all for supporting Colourful.”
