The Scottish presenter was so convinced England would beat Iceland in the European Football championships he vowed to present his programme wearing a kilt and nothing else if Roy Hodgson’s men lost.
With England’s surprise 2-1 defeat last night, true to his word, Nicky wore just his kilt to present the programme this morning. However, he kept his security lanyard on.
Salford looks nice out of the window, in this shot, doesn't it? Must have been quite difficult to move the 1907 Philharmonic Hall, now known as BBC Brock House, all the way from Langham Street up to MediaCityUK.
James - in fairness to Mr Campbell, because of the Brexit shenanigans he's been mostly camped out on Colllege Green since last Friday (yes he was on air Saturday and Sunday) - so a bit much to expect him to troop up to Media City today...
I suppose, if the ladies in The Archers could strip off last Christmas with promotional photograph included in last December's double issue of Radio Times, Nicky Campbell should be allowed to fulfill his obligation!
Great radio broadcaster is Nicky Campbell!
