According to Music Week, Chris Price has been named the next Head of Music for Radio 1 and 1Xtra. It quotes Chris as saying:

"Radio 1 & 1Xtra's Head of Music is the greatest music discovery job on the planet, said Price, who previously worked at Sony, Warner, Radio 1, MTV and BT, and was most recently working as head of music for Last.fm. "I'm thrilled to be joining the BBC to continue the incredible work it does breaking new music, as well as steering the networks’ music strategy into the next phase of its digital future.”

But what does he think of its digital rivals, like Pandora, Apple, Napster and others? Here he is speaking at Next Radio in September. It turns out there's lots of differences between them: and there are messages for radio, too.
