Blandford Freelance Presenter

A freelance and contract job at BFBS Radio in Blandford Forum, Dorset, United Kingdom
Posted 3 August 2015, 12.50pm edt

The British Forces Broadcasting Service is looking for a talented and multi skilled Presenter/Producer to join the existing team for a three month period starting late October and based at our studio in Blandford.

Come and be part of our unique blend of music and speech radio dedicated to the British Forces community.

To be suitable for the role, you’ll have some previous experience in contemporary music sequence presentation and ideally also have experience in producing compelling speech-led features including packages, reports and interviews. Familiarity with Adobe Audition would be an advantage. You’ll be able to prove your success in delivering creative ideas within self-produced programmes; the ability to incorporate digital/social networking initiatives will already be second nature.

Ideally you will live within an easy commute of our studio in Blandford (DT11 8RH). You’ll be presenting and producing our weekday breakfast show between 06:30 and 10:00 as well as producing speech material for both local and BFBS network playout. A driver’s licence and your own transport is essential.

You’ll be able to demonstrate that you’re resourceful, innovative, flexible and reliable, you’ll have bags of personality and enthusiasm on and off air and be excited at the prospect of a full-on role working alongside the British Armed Forces.

This is an important role within one of our ‘UK Bases’ stations so a willingness to work and be at home in a military community is essential.

For the right candidate – this is a fantastic opportunity to make exceptional radio for an extraordinary audience.
