Radio is all about personality.

And right now, London’s Heart Breakfast is looking for the best around.

Sure – we already have one of the most recognised personalities in the world and one of the greatest breakfast hosts in modern UK radio – but they need the best of the best producers.

Now this is a big ask, but this is a big job.

Breakfast Producer – Heart London

Heart London is looking for an experienced Producer to join the team on one of the UK’s leading Breakfast Shows with Jamie Theakston and Emma Bunton. You will be working closely with the Executive Producer and the Breakfast team each day to produce content to build a show that is memorable above all others in the London market. Working across all parts of the show, with a strong emphasis on creating brilliant social and digital content. Good technical skills are extremely important, and you will also be required to work with the digital, video, press and marketing teams - to ensure the content and show gains maximum exposure driving listenership.

What you’ll be doing:

You'll be in the on-air studio live and actively contributing and planning creative sessions for the show daily, with a strong focus on our social platforms. That’s after you’ve been in control of the desk of one of the biggest Breakfast shows in UK.

You'll be obsessed with the finer details to make every piece of content succeed and have a natural thirst to make things even better tomorrow.

You’ll know the playout system inside out, create award winning audio and troubleshoot problems


You'll have a thorough understanding of broadcast regulations and liaise with the key departments across Global to get the best from the planned content.

This is a studio producer role, not an audio or imaging producer.

What we expect of you:

As well as all your technical skills - you'll be full of ideas and be able to stimulate others too - always thinking ahead, and looking at how we can amplify all our daily content.

You will have a keen interest and passion for the content and music on Heart and an acute awareness of how to engage the target audience.

You'll be able to manage some of the very best talent in the industry and be prepared to meet and work with the world’s biggest personalities.

You'll know and respond positively to the needs and expectations of others to achieve the right outcome.

You'll be confident when working towards your own personal objectives as well as helping others in achieving business goals, regularly setting and stretching new standards.

You'll have loads of experience from working in a similar type of role and confident using Studio Playout Systems, Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and competent on all social media platforms.

You’ll need patience, sense of humour, a positive attitude, the ability to be calm under pressure and a trustworthy work ethic.
