BarcelonaCityFM 107.3 has been in operation since 2015 and is the only English station in the city. Content is a mix of Dance, House, Chart, and various talk shows and interview formats throughout the day. Our inhouse team of 5 and 65 freelancers mean the management is role has a lot of communication to do. Speaking Spanish or Catalan is to your advantage but not essential. As director you are the main ambassador for the station and thus will attend many networking events and build partnerships with other media organisations. If your vision and skill set is news orientated you could also make the most of our news distribution arrangements. (We are a contact point for BBC/Sky/CNN on matters pertaining to Catalunia) The commercial part of the role is paramount both in terms of advertising sales and also selling timeslots to third parties.
