Your mission

Your mission is to write, create and deliver accurate, engaging and informative content for our growing multiplatform Football Social channel. You will play a key role in updating our audience on breaking football news and have extensive knowledge of the Manchester football landscape, and the wider Premier League. You’ll be filing reports on air, on podcasts, on smart speakers and on social media, so need to be fully versed in tailoring content to the appropriate broadcast outlet. Your content should be engaging and captivating. Your workflow will be reactive to events, so you will need to be flexible and organised.

Your Experience

You will need to be smart, bold and engaging and be able to display our company values in the work you do; Bravery, Integrity and Passion. You should be as passionate about working in audio as we are, live and breathe football, and have experience in sport journalism.

Proven production and journalism skills Social media authoring and collation of user-generated-content experience is a must Advanced ability to edit using Adobe Audition (or similar) is essential Image sourcing and manipulation skills using Photoshop (or similar) are essential Video editing skills are desirable Writing for radio/audio experience A journalistic mind with an excellent understanding of the ever-changing audio consumption landscape Extremely organised, managing several broadcast streams running concurrently A minimum of 2 years working in a journalism role

Your Reward

37.5 hours per week, working hours will vary and include weekends Laptop Mobile Phone Your Location

You will be based at our Head Office in the XYZ building in Spinningfields, Manchester.

Your Team

You will report to the XS Manchester Programme Controller.
