Freelance Broadcast Journalists

A freelance and contract journalism job at Spirit FM in Chichester
Posted 12 February 2016, 11.19am est

Spirit FM is on the hunt for talented on-air journalists to join its freelance pool.

Are you dedicated, hard working and do you love local radio? If so, we may be a good match.

You will be needed to cover on air newsreading and reporting roles from Chichester in West Sussex for the county's number one commercial radio station.

The ability to work clearly and effectively is a must, ensuring every bulletin is target-listener focused and meets the high standards of local content our listeners have come to expect.

You'll be a good team player, who is equally happy working on their own - and be free to cover weekend morning shifts and well as occasional weekdays.

You’ll have a great passion for local news, be able to think quickly and creatively, have excellent writing skills, a great voice for radio, be well organised and have the ability to work to tight deadlines.

As well as delivering the on-air news you will update our websites and social media pages, so a knowledge of modern day techniques is preferable.

A sound legal knowledge is a must and past experience of using Burli would be helpful, but not essential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a station that truly believes in local radio.

This job closed on 11 March, 2016 so we’re afraid you can no longer apply for this role.
