Who we are. 
 GBTIMES is a media communications company. We produce, deliver and localise content across multiple media platforms to bring “China closer” to UK population.

This role will be based at our Sino offices in Battersea, London; the UK division of GBTIMES, which runs Sino TV, Spectrum Sino radio and other digital platforms.

What we are looking for.
 We are looking for an experienced Multi-Platform journalist to produce daily, original articles and curated content, for our online platforms and radio station. The successful candidate will have excellent writing skills with experience of researching and producing compelling and entertaining written features, as well as photographic led articles. They should be fluent in social media use to promote their articles and an understanding and interest in China and Chinese culture, would be highly desirable, along with audio and video editing skills.

You must have excellent journalist skills, with an up-to-date knowledge of China and its influence and relationship with the UK. A clear and strong broadcasting voice and appropriate interview style is essential, along with sound editorial and publishing understanding. You will have thorough research skills, fluid writing style combined with a clear speaking voice. You will be pro-active and flexible on working hours and be expected to present on radio and deliver a wide range of features and interviews per day

Responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, researching, writing and presenting content in English, on our websites, radio and other media
  • Writing, editing and proofreading articles and other content for online publication to our partner sites
  • Publishing and promoting content through social media channels in the UK and Europe
  • Ensuring SEO of articles within website and via social media platforms
  • Planning, production and distribution of audio and video interviews across all digital platforms
  • Radio studio presenting when required.
  • Sourcing potential contributors and interviewees
  • Undertake editing, interviewing and reporting duties as necessary. What skills you will have


Skills will include and are not limited to:

  • Hold higher education in a media related field especially journalism.
  • Strong journalistic writing skills
  • Experience of interviewing and editing audio content, as well as photo manipulation
  • Ability to present on radio
  • Experience of Myriad radio system and online content management systems
  • Video and audio editing skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good understanding of optimising written content for web and social media.
