The Content Editor will play an essential role in creating a vibrant and engaging environment for people to experience the best of radio, entertainment and lifestyle that offers its 4 million users every month. The primarily focus of this role will be video, but as you will be part of the wider editorial team, you’ll also work on other editorial content and teams including on-air. In addition to editing videos for both social and onsite publication, you’ll also be expected to write the articles to support the videos you create. It goes without saying that you’ll know what makes engaging, relatable and shareable video and have a great understanding of social and online culture and trends that will be a great match for our brand. You’ll feel comfortable working with the teams to adapt editorial ideas so they resonate online - in short, we want someone who can take us to the next level through video.   What you’ll be doing

Editing and compiling our online video content and writing articles to support those videos. 

Working with the Editorial Teams to highlight video opportunities. 

You’ll always be thinking about how we can create better and more engaging content to help our brands stay on top of the video market.

You'll be experienced in writing for the web and creating engaging feature content in a busy environment often to tight deadlines. 

What we expect of you

You’ll need to be ahead of the curve, know what makes engaging, relatable and shareable video for our brand and have a great understanding of social and online culture and trends. 

Ability to generate stories from a unique perspective that sets Heart aside from other entertainment media.

Ideas driven, you will be able to pitch your editorial ideas.

Video editing video and photos on the Adobe Editing Suite/ Adobe Premiere Pro   

Experience of Photoshop editing 

A tabloid writing style that is pacey, a little cheeky and full of personality.

Desired - experience of a content management system.

Great organizational skills.

React to breaking stories to deliver timely and engaging content.

As is a 24hr experience you’ll be available for some out of hours shifts.
